Lancaster Municipal Authority
The Lancaster Municipal Authority, which was formed by the City of Lancaster in 1961, was known as the City of Lancaster Sewer Authority until 1998 when the City acquired ownership of its sanitary sewer system. Since that time, the Authority has remained a subsisting authority that engages in, among other activities, facilitating tax-exempt financings for qualified 501(c)(3) corporations. It has provided financing assistance to such organizations as the Mennonite Home, Garden Spot Village, LutherCare, Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital, Garden Spot Village and the New Holland Recreation Center.
