WHAT WE DO

The Office of Healthy Homes is responsible for managing the City’s Lead Hazard Control, Critical Repair, and Healthy Homes programs. These programs aim to provide safe, accessible, and healthy housing for residents of Lancaster City.

Families spend more time at home than anywhere else. It is where we eat, sleep, work, and relax each day. A home should be dry, properly heated, well-lit, and clean to ensure the health and safety of everyone who lives there.

Lead Hazard Control Program

The Lead Hazard Control Program helps Lancaster City homeowners, landlords, and tenants make their homes safer by addressing lead-based paint and contaminated soil.

Critical Repair Program

The Critical Repair Program assists Lancaster City homeowners by addressing emergency issues that could force them to leave their homes.

Healthy Homes Program

The Healthy Homes Program helps Lancaster City residents repair hazards in their homes that pose risks to their health and safety.
