The City of Lancaster, PA intends to apply for PRO Housing funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to help identify and remove barriers to affordable housing production and preservation to support low- to moderate-income residents. The City will be requesting approximately $8,200,000 in PRO Housing funding to support the following proposed eligible activities:
A copy of the draft PRO Housing Application is available on the City’s website at www.cityoflancasterpa.gov/affordable-housing entitled “DRAFT 2023 PRO Housing Application” and at City Hall, 120 North Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
The City will accept citizen comments regarding the application through Friday, November 3 at 12 p.m. Persons interested in commenting on the application should contact the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED), Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the following:

The City will be hosting a PUBLIC HEARING to review the proposed application and solicit public comment. All interested Lancaster City residents are welcome to attend this public hearing which will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 in City Council Chambers at City Hall, 120 North Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
