City of Lancaster Closed for Christmas and New Year’s Day

City of Lancaster offices will be closed for Christmas and New Year’s Day on December 25, December 26 and January 1.

Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day)

• No trash collection, street cleaning, or enforcement of the street cleaning schedule, meters, or residential permit parking.

Friday, December 26

• No street cleaning or enforcement of the street cleaning schedule, meters, or residential permit parking.
• Trash collection resumes with a one-day delay Friday and Saturday.

Thursday, January 1 (New Year’s Day)

• No trash collection, street cleaning, or enforcement of the street cleaning schedule, meters, or residential permit parking.
• Trash collection resumes Thursday, January 2, with a one-day delay Friday and Saturday.

City offices will be open on Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24) and New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, December 31), and all services, including trash collection, street cleaning, and all parking enforcement, will follow a regular schedule on those days.

Please note that online utility and tax payments will be offline starting Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 2 p.m. to facilitate year-end financial processing. Online payments will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.
