City of Lancaster introduces “Red Rose Alerts” Notification Platform

The City of Lancaster is constantly working to bolster its emergency preparedness. As part of this work, the City of Lancaster is pleased to introduce Red Rose Alerts, which are used to send important information and emergency alerts to residents, businesses, and utility customers. This system enables us to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as:

• utility issues
• service cancellations
• severe weather
• unexpected road closures
• evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.

Once you opt-in, you will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more. You decide where and how you receive messages.

Red Rose Alerts are also sent for emergency notifications, using data sourced from publicly available directory information and/or Wireless Emergency Alerts.
