February 23 – Snow Emergency Lifted at 12:00 p.m.

February 23, 2026

We are fortunate that warmer temperatures and a more Eastern storm track spared Lancaster City from significant snow accumulation. Because cleanup is happening faster than expected the snow emergency in the City of Lancaster will be lifted on February 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.

Vehicles must be removed from garages by 6:00 p.m. on February 23, 2026, or regular parking fees will apply.

Vehicles cannot return to snow emergency routes until after the snow emergency ends at 12:00 p.m.

Street cleaning will resume on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The Department of Public Works will use this time to clear as much snow as possible from parking lanes. Vehicles may return to the parking lane once the plow has passed.
