What We Do

The Board of Plumber Examiners reviews and considers for approval, license and testing applications for Apprentice, Journeyman and Master Plumbers if the qualifications are deemed to be appropriate.

Individuals desiring to present information for reciprocation of a like license from another jurisdiction also need to present evidence of licensing, experience and employment for review by the Board. Each license request is considered on a case by case basis.

Applications and requests for license reciprocation should be sent to the attention of the Bureau Chief, Code Compliance and Inspections, P.O. Box 1599, Lancaster, PA 17608, or dropped off at City Hall, located at 120 North Duke Street, Lancaster during normal business hours. Applications and information must be received at least ten days in advance of the meeting date to be included on the agenda.

For assistance required for accessibility to this facility, please contact a code staff member prior to the meeting.
