City of Lancaster Water Customers Urged to Conserve Water (Now Lifted)

UPDATE 8/8 1:53 p.m. – The water conservation notice has been lifted and you may return to normal water consumption. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.


Water production is limited at the Susquehanna Water Treatment Plant due to an internal electrical issue. We are diligently working to return the plant to full production. Please conserve water. This alert impacts all City of Lancaster water customers, including the City of Lancaster and nine surrounding  municipalities, including  East Hempfield Township, East Lampeter Township, Lancaster Township, Manheim Township, Manor Township, Millersville Borough, Pequea Township, West Hempfield Township, and West Lampeter Township. The also impacts four bulk customers, including West Earl Township, East Petersburg Township, Upper Leacock Township, and Penn Township.
