City of Lancaster Announces Public Engagement Opportunities for Final Comprehensive Plan Release

July 14, 2023 | Bureau of Planning Department of Community Planning & Economic Development

As the City of Lancaster prepares to issue the final version of the Comprehensive Plan, there are several opportunities scheduled for the public to engage with and discuss the plan with Planning staff ahead of the anticipated release of the final plan document on September 1.

There will be an informal open house prior to the Planning Commission meeting on July 19. Members of the public are invited to arrive 30 minutes early to participate in an open house and engage in discussions with staff. During the formal meeting, there will be an introductory presentation to the Planning Commission. Both the public and the Commission will have the opportunity to comment and ask questions about the Comprehensive Plan.

On August 2, there will be an initial review of the full Comprehensive Plan by Planning Commission. A second full review and consideration for formal recommendation by the Planning Commission will take place on August 16. Members of the public are invited to arrive 30 minutes prior to both meetings to participate in an open house and engage in discussions with staff.
