Friday, January 19 Snow Update

Our Department of Public Works crews are gearing up for the possibility of 2-4 inches of snow arriving early tomorrow, Friday, January 19.

City offices will be closed on Friday. Essential operations will continue and staff who are able will work remotely.

Penn Waste will not be operating on Friday. All customers missed this week will be collected next week, and Penn Waste will accept double the normal allotment of trash at that time.

Street cleaning is suspended Friday.

Now is a good time to check and salt your sidewalks to prevent any hidden ice under the upcoming snowfall. Property owners are required to clear their sidewalks and the openings to crosswalks of snow and ice within five hours of the snow’s end. If the snow concludes overnight, property owners have until 10 a.m.
