Observed Holidays

On observed holidays (listed below), all City offices are closed and there is no street sweeping.

The Lancaster Parking Authority holiday schedule sometimes varies from the City’s. You can find their enforcement schedule on their website at www.lancasterparkingauthority.com/city-holiday-parking.

The City’s trash hauler, Penn Waste, observes only New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If your collection day falls on or after a holiday, your collection day moves one day back. If a holiday falls on a weekend, your collection day will not change.
