Observed Holidays
On observed holidays (listed below), all City offices are closed and there is no Street Cleaning.
The Lancaster Parking Authority holiday schedule sometimes varies from the City’s. You can find their enforcement schedule on their website at www.lancasterparkingauthority.com/city-holiday-parking.
The City’s trash hauler, Penn Waste, observes only New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If your trash collection day falls on or after a holiday, it will be moved to the following day. For example, if your regular collection is on a weekday, it will shift forward by one day after the holiday. If the holiday falls on a weekend, your collection schedule will not change.
