The Bureau of Health inspects and licenses eateries, mobile food trucks, tattoo business, convenient stores, market, famer’s market, schools, and childcare facilities. The Bureau provides public education about mosquito borne illnesses and treats mosquito complaints in public areas and conducts inspections of garbage, rodents, insects and unsanitary living conditions.

Critical Repair Program
Provides financial assistance in the form of grants and loans to low/moderate income families for the critical repair of owner-occupied, single family housing units in the City of Lancaster.
